09: Tanzania- Rwanda- Zanzibar
Day 1.
On arrival in Nairobi, you are met and briefed about your whole
programme and then board the flight to Kigali where on arrival, you
will have your late breakfast and drive to Parc National des Volcans.
The journey to the north goes through the beautiful terraced
hillsides that show much of Rwanda’s landscape, gradually climbing
to the base of the awesome Virunga volcanoes; sometimes five peaks
can be seen. Overnight and dinner at Volcanoes Virunga Lodge (FB).
Day 2:
Early morning, you will go gorilla tracking in Parc National des
Volcans. Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on
the slopes of the Virungas is a wonderful experience. Incase you are
lucky; you can get to see the gorillas, spend an hour with them, and
get back at the lodge in time for a late lunch. Some gorilla
families however are more mysterious, and tracking can take a full
day, especially when it is wet and muddy. Overnight and dinner at
Volcanoes Virunga Lodge (FB).
Day 3:Gorilla Trekking/ Golden Monkey Tracking
There is another chance of tracking in PNV or head for a tour to the
golden monkeys on the other hand, you may climb the Muhavura
volcanoes, or move up the Dian Fossey’s grave. Dinner and Volcanoes
Virunga Lodge (FB).
Day 4:
Breakfast and leave for Kigali where you will have You will head for
a city tour in to tour the market, a pottery project, handicraft
shops, the genocide memorial and Franco-Rwandan cultural centre
Afterwards be taken to the airport to catch your flight to
Kilimanjaro Airport and be transfered to Arusha,overnight in Arusha
at Impala Hotel to start your trip the following morning.
Day 5:
Depart in the afternoon from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National
Park. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire River Tented Lodge.
Day 6:
After breakfast, proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and set up
camp. Ngorongoro Conservation Area's central feature is the
Ngorongoro Crater, one of the largest intact caldera in the world
and one of the most spectacular sights in Africa. The Olduvai Gorge
in the neighbourhood is the site where some of Africa's oldest
hominid fossils were found. The Crater has densest predator
population in Africa. Elephant, lion, zebra, wildebeest and a host
of other resident animals are to be found here. Dinner and overnight
at the Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge.
Day 7:
Morning and afternoon game drives at the Crater floor. Meals and
overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge.
Day 8:
After breakfast leave for vast Serengeti National Park, Africa's
most popular game reserve. There is an incredible number of animals
in this vast game park. Wildebeest is the most populous followed by
zebras. Elephant is notably scarce. Cheetahs and the rest of the big
cats are regularly sighted in the plains. The few remaining
endangered black rhino are restricted at the Moru Koppies area. The
park is also famous for the wildbeeste migration,often described as
the most impressive spectacle in the world. Arrive in time for
lunch. Afternoon proceed for a game drive. Dinner and overnight at
the Robanda Tented Lodge Lodge.
Day 9:
Morning and afternoon game drives at the Crater floor. Meals and
overnight at Robanda Tented Lodge
Day 10: Serengeti:
Full day with morning and afternoon gane drives.All meal and
overnight at Robanda tented Lodge
Day 11:
After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara National Park and set up camp.
After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive in the park.
Birdlife in the park is very broad. The home of tree-climbing lion,
the park is also home to giraffes, hippo, zebra, and buffalo. Dinner
and overnight at the Miguga
Forest Tented Camp.
Day 12:
After breakfast proceed for an early morning game drive enroute to
Arusha town in time for lunch. Later transfer to Arusha airport for
your flight to Zanzibar. On arrival at Zanzibar airport meet and
transfer to Mnarani Beach Cottages in the northern coast. Dinner and
overnight at Mnarani
Day 13:
Day at leisure. Breakfast, dinner and overnight at Mnarani Beach
Cottages.
Day 14:
Day at leisure. Breakfast, dinner and overnight at Mnarani Beach
Cottages
Day 15:
Day at leisure. Breakfast, dinner and overnight at Mnarani Beach
Cottages
Day 16:
After breakfast, transfer to the Zanzibar airport for your flight
back to Arusha
Tour may begin and end in Nairobi
